Jinny's Kitchen - Episode 11: Adios & Hasta la Vista Jinny's Kitchen!

As the last day of dining operation of Jinny's Kitchen in Bacalar, Mexico ended.  Jinny's Kitchen staff did not only experience running and operating a restaurant but most earnestly experience the Mexican way of life in this dreamy small town of Bacalar, Mexico. To Jinny's Kitchen k-stars staff, it was an awesome experience not only running a business and hitting their operating goals that matters.  Their close encounters with the people and witnessing how they enjoyed dining and eating what they painstakingly prepared, cooked and served was the best experience of all.

The warmth, smiles and passion of the Mexicans eating K-Foods is a valuable exchange of endearment between two nations from the opposite side of the world.  It was a pleasure for Jinny's Kitchen to connect the people from the other side of our planet through the pleasure of food cultures.

And for that, we at Jinny's Kitchen bid Adios & Hasta la Vista!

Jinny's Kitchen - Episode 10: Jinny's Kitchen Record Breaking Day!

Everyone is optimistic and determined to give their best in order to make their last day in Jinny's Kitchen Bacalar attain their goal hitting the 12K sales mark.

As the Mexicans in the small town of Bacalar discover Jinny's Kitchen offering and serving popular Korean street foods.  Many frequented the place to savor the taste of K-foods. Jinny's Kitchen became popular in the short period of time o their operation in the area.

Another reason why customers are now finally coming in groups and throngs was that the diners have discovered the identities of Jinny's Kitchen staff and that they were actually famous K-stars.  Those who can't take it anymore even approached to ask the staff to confirm their discovery.  In fact, in one instance was that a young woman approached Intern Kim (Kim Taehyung) who was on the gimbap counter with YuMi when suddenly a young woman confronted and pinpointed that he was V of BTS.  And in order not to disappoint and satisfy the curiosity of the diner, Intern Kim signalled to her a thumbs up and get inside the back kitchen immediately.

With all the hardwork and in between tangles with their popularity, Jinny's Kitchen staff have successfully hit their goal breaking their 12K sales target before closing hours of their last day.  And the boss' happy dimples shines as ever.

Jinny's Kitchen - Episode 9: Jinny's Kitchen Last Day Hurrah!

 

Operating for the last 7 days, Jinny's Kitchen highest sales so far was 11,610 pesos and their least was 1,800 pesos.  Everyone is optimistic to set a new record high sales or at lest hopeful for as 12K sales.  And since it was their last day of operation, everyone is wishing everyone safety until they return to Korea.

Driving slowly on the way to the restaurant, they all savor the sights and views of the town once more.  And upon arrival at the restaurant, they did their tasks dutifully one last time.  They have shared and eat their lunch together before their 2PM opening for diners.

As their business day go, they were again busy as bees as usual.  Will they be able to hit their sales goal of 12K?

Jinny's Kitchen - Episode 8: Jinny's Kitchen Yummy K-Foods in Mexico

 

Mexicans in this town of Bacalar had that opportunity to experience tasting Korean K-Foods right in this lake side town.  The people not only had the taste of K-Foods but got to also experience the Korean culture courtesy of the k-stars who acted as the staff of Jinny's Kitchen.

On Korean dining experience.

Mexicans on the use of chopsticks, scissors and stainless steel diningware were something new to them since they were used using stone and earthenware on their kitchen and tables.  The use of chopsticks and scissors in dining is unusual and Jinny's Kitchen staff have to sometimes show them how they were used while dining.

On spicy culture.

Spicy Mexican food is widely known for their distinct spiciness compared to other regions and countries. Introducing them other variant of spiciness was quite interesting. Tasting the Korean gochujang among the ingredients incorporated in the food cooked and served to them made them compare the spicy taste against their local picante version.

Its a delight to see and watch food experts like owners or chefs of  rival restaurants in the area tasted, critiques, guessed and judged on the Korean dishes served to them by Jinny's Kitchen.  Some competitor diners were even interested to know, cook and replicate the ones on the menu of Jinny's Kitchen.

As the restaurant operation succeeded in hitting their goals and sales, Mexicans who have dined in have experienced the yummy k-foods and culture of Korea in a star-studded way!
