Jinny's Kitchen - Episode 7: Jinny's Kitchen Bestsellers

As more customers come, some regulars were now quite observant not only on the menu but likewise on Jinny's Kitchen staff.   This discovery and indulgence especially by now some regulars on the k-food served by Jinny's Kitchen, made the restaurant operates on a constant full dining capacity from opening until closing.  As a result the boss have to decline entry of customers especially during closing hours.  

It was in these instances that the boss felt sorry for the lost sales of declined customers.  At one time, he would call back customers he initially declined.  But after letting them in, others would follow and the  restaurant was once again teeming with diners. 

After a long day, the staff were all drained and tired due to their hectic work. But the good news of high sales and breaking their previous day sales energized them all and the whining of tiredness all melted and disappeared.

Among the bestsellers of Jinny's Kitchen were k-food bestsellers such as ramyeon, spicy fricken, tteokbokki, corndogs and gimbap.   And as the restaurant now was making waves and already popular in this Mexican town by the lake, not only K-foods were the bestsellers but also the staff who were actually K-stars cooking and serving them the menu.

Jinny's Kitchen - Episode 6: Blockbuster Wednesday!

It was finally mid-week and Wednesday in Bacalar.  While the town expect businesses were close since the lake rest from people going over for it was a day reserved by the local to let recoup and recover its marine ecology.

But Jinny's Kitchen opens up at 1PM to serve its first customer and it just goes on and on all day often running out of tables and chairs to accommodate the neverending flow and queue of customers. Jinny's Kitchen was even busier than the weekends. Every staff including the boss was busy in the preparation of the food for sales.

Jinny's Kitchen - Episode 5: Jinny's Kitchen Wednesday Crisis

Due to the crisis the have experienced, Day 4 of operation resulted to a decrease in sales from that of he sales of day 3 yesterday.  They decided to head home instead.  Yu Mi took the bike going home with Perro, the dog tailing her along the way.  

Chef Seo Joon brought home some ingredients home since he wanted to experiment on the food combo menus and improvements as suggested by some customers earlier in the restaurant.  So, he made several versions of the Korean Chibap or stir-fried crispy boneless fried chicken and let his co-staff taste and judge over them on which version will fit Jinny's Kitchen menu. Later on, his Chibap Chicken Mayo Rice was decided as the new item on the menu as a way to boost up sales.  

To date, they have already accumulated a total sales of 21,850 pesos of the 100,000 pesos they are targeting to make until Saturday with only 4 days left out of the 8 operating days for them to realize it.  The staff of Jinny's Kitchen continued the brainstorming and planning.  The boss even ponders that the day off should not have never been  made in order to keep the momentum going.  But the others just shrug the boss's unreasonable mushings and suggested more options in order to perk up the sales.

But they hardly have no idea that tomorrow which is a Wednesday is another crisis to watch out since  Wednesdays in Bacalar is a slow day and most businesses were closed on that day.  Wednesdays is the  day set aside by the local government of Bacalar to close the lake area for the conservation of marine ecology and let the lake recoup and recover as a marine sanctuary in the area.  

Will Jinny's Kitchen be able to hit their targets and goals?

Jinny's Kitchen - Episode 4: Operation Status: Sold Out! A Day of Crisis

 

Episode 4 showcases another day of full house and never-ending waiting queue for Jinny's Kitchen.  As a consequence, the kitchen was already running out of ingredients for their menu.  Jinny's Kitchen is now having a crisis with running out of stock on ingredients especially on saleable food items.  Jinny's Kitchen is on the verge of being sold out! 

Somehow, they were able to buff up and have remedy for the lacking items for cooking and save the sales for the remainder of the operating hours of Jinny's Kitchen for the day.   Only one hour after re-opening for the day, the boss decided to close Jinny's Kitchen for they won't be able to serve the customers anymore with no food orders to make due to the limited ingredients.

It has been a very rough day in crisis in today's operation of Jinny's Kitchen.  In consolation for the tough and rough day they had today, the boss decided to boost the staff welfare by giving them a day off the following day.

Jinny's Kitchen - Episode 3: Hola K-foods!

 

After some mishaps on the opening day, Jinny's Kitchen finally opens and offer with pride to Mexican customers their version of some popular Korean street foods.  Episode 2 showcase how busy Jinny's Kitchen staff prepares, cook and serve the Korean street foods included in their menu.

With the arrival of Woo Shik straight from the airport, the staff was re-energized and inspired to work to achieve their goals.

It was a very hectic yet profitable day for Jinny's Kitchen.  But some of the staff have even developed high hopes adding the venture of k-food business to their life goals.  While the new taste was generally gratifying and satisfying for their Mexican customers who tried the Korean street food they offered.

Episode 2: Make the impossible possible. Just Do it!

 

Jinny's Kitchen staff 2nd day was a Saturday and a busy day in Bacalar.  Jinny's Kitchen offered the following on their inaguration day:  tteokbokki, corndogs and gimbap.  The day's first order was from a tourist who ordered BULGOGI GIMBAP.

Among the 2nd day mishaps were:

-Mismatched uniform color.  Intern Kim wears a black shorts instead of the supposed white shorts uniform and got rejected by the boss.  The issue earned labor disputes to the boss from his staff at this early stage of their business. 

Intern Kim who just came in to join the staff, flew 20 hours from Korea to Cancun and travels another 4 hours by car to Bacalar have the most reason to protest due to his hectic day when told he was to go straight to work in the restaurant.  

- Unfixed Opening time.  It was really puzzling to see opening time in fraction of the time like the one they posted @ 2:10 (LOLS).

- Customer confusion on the sausage in the corndogs.  Resolved after the boss told the complaining customer that the corndogs are cooked with half cheese and half hotdogs in a stick.

- Mixed up on the order of bulgogi gimbap. Resolved after analyzing that 2 gimbabs were ordered at the same time.

Jinny's Kitchen - Episode 1: Profit is first and foremost.

 

Jinny's Kitchen is supposedly named after its CEO and boss Lee Seo Jin aka Jinny.  The series started Episode 1 with director/producer Na Young Seok highlighting what the restaurant will offer and serve Korean street food. 

The roles, credentials and designations takesw into considerations any past work experiences they have in relation to operating a similar business.  And Jinny's Kitchen restaurant staff are as follows:

Lee Seo Jin - CEO, boss and owner of the restaurant.

Park Seo Joon - back kitchen chef and in charge of cooking

spicy stir-fried noodles and original ramyeon.

BTS's V - chef assistant and all-around assistant for the back kitchen

Jung YuMi - front kitchen gimbab master 

Choi Woo Shik- Dining area and customer service in-charge.

The staff did a thorough brainstorming and planning on what to offer and sell on their restaurant.  But the ultimate and foremost goal was to: EARN PROFIT by all means.
