Arthdal Chronicles - The Sword of Aramun: Episode 1: The Owner of Your Name Commands

Children of the Prophesy

There was an old Arthdal prophecy that says "The child born on the day when the blue comet appears will bring calamity."

And it so happened that on the day were a bright blue streak lit across the sky the twin Eunseom and Saya was born by Asa Hon, an Asa Clan member.  The father of the twin borne by Asa Hon was Ragaz, a mixed blooded Saram or human and Neanthal - the purple blooded people.

At the same moment, another child, a girl was also born as foretold by the prophesy that:  Three children representing the sword, bell and mirror.  According to the prophesy, one of the child born on that day will break the shell whose death be marked as the symbol of “bell” and will end the world.

These children of prophecy each symbolizing the sword, bell and mirror, points to the children Eunseom, Saya and Tanya who were all born when a bright blue streak lit across the sky.

The Purple Blood Igutus

From the earlier season's episodes, it was also revealed that Igutu blood runs in the veins of Eun-seom and Saya whose father was Ragaz, the mixed blooded Saram or human and Neanthal - the purple blooded people.  Later, it was also revealed that Ta-gon was likewise an Igutu as discovered by Eunseom through the wound he inflicted on him during their fight in the early episodes.

As the children grew into adulthood honed by the rough and tough challenges on each of their lives.  Saya who grew within the Arthdal walls became a fierce and tough general of the Arthad force.  Whereas Eunseom and Tanya, experienced life in the wild and outside the walled Arthdal.

Although Eunseom and Tanya grew together and closer when they were young, Tanya was captured and held captive by Arthdal soldiers.  She later was trained to be a priestess and became the Great High Priestess of the Arthdal Kingdom.  Eunseom became the great warrior Inaishingi and master of the  legendary Kanmoreu, the mythical heavenly horse whom he named 'Helper.'

It was the young Eunseom who trained and the mysterious horse 'Helper' grew side by side as inseparable duo during their youth.  And when Tanya was captured and brought to Arthdal, Helper with Eunseom's command to the horse came along and protect Tanya while he stayed in the wild to defend and protect the weak tribes of the forest separating them from each other for a long time.

The horse was cared by Doti, a young maid to the priestesses in the Artdal temple as Tanya oversees and cared for them both while she trained as a priestess as she pursues to gain power in Arthdal to help Eunseom and her own Wahan tribe constantly abused by the Arthdal aristocrats in power.

The owner of your name commands.

As a result of the abuses and tyranny of the Arthdals in power, many tribes rose to battle te Arthdal force and the great war begins.

When opportunity comes and Tanya needed to get in touch with Eunseom, she sent Helper along with the token necklace Eunseom made for her when they were still children.  Se instructed the horse to seek and help Eunseom who commands as the one who have given its name.
